IH Monterrey is the only Cambridge Assessment English Teacher Training Centre located in Monterrey, the third largest city in Mexico and by far one of the most industrialized cities in all of Latin America.
We have always been on the leading edge of the Teacher Training field; that´s why we became an ICELT and CELTA centre.
As a Teacher Training Centre we have always preferred quality over quantity, that’s why we combine part-time with full-time courses which never overlap. Our candidates deserve to have tutors who are fresh every day and fully concentrated on their course.

About IH Monterrey
IH Monterrey has been established as a community school since 2006.
In all this time we have positioned ourselves as a point of reference in our city and outside it as a top-rank institution in ELT due to the high professional standards we maintain.
We have been very active as a Business English teaching school in corporate offices around Monterrey, working with some of the most important transnational companies and with the most brilliant executives in Monterrey.
All this with the added component of outstanding teachers from different countries, who add variety of cultural backgrounds as well as different teaching styles that make us a very strong school.
IH Monterrey is also a Cambridge Assessment English Authorised Centre, pioneering English language and teacher training certifications, such as TKT and CELTA. We have completed over 11,000 to date and are very proud to think that there are thousands of students and teachers whose lives we have been able to touch very positively. This alone is a fulfillment of the dream we had when we first started operations over 15 years ago.
The school, located on Avenida Simón Bolívar, has 7 classrooms, a reception area and offices. There is a separate garden room office for the DoS with an adjoining teachers’ lounge. There is a small garden and a terrace at the front, and areas for students and teachers to relax outside classes.
Studying with IH Monterrey
We have specialised in offering CELTA fully online. This is to allow students from anywhere in the world the full flexibility to be able to join one of our groups.
Part time courses over 12 weeks combine the option of self study in youir own time with some live online zoom sessions and teaching practice. This is a great option if you prefer to study alongside work and family commitments.
For students who can devote 4 weeks intensive study, our full time option allows you to study and complete teaching practice each day, so you will graduate faster and start looking for that dream job quicker!
